Is Michael Schumacher Mercedes bound?
Nov.22 (GMM) Speculation that Michael Schumacher is planning a full return to formula one is continuing to build.
So far the rumours are being played down by the 40-year-old’s spokeswoman Sabine Kehm and officials for Brackley based Mercedes GP and its parent Mercedes-Benz/Daimler.
But British television pundit Eddie Jordan, who gave the German his formula one debut more than 18 years ago, is commenting with apparent authority that a deal for 2010 is very possible.
He revealed that Schumacher, who recently signed a new Ferrari consultancy contract through 2012, met with Ross Brawn and Daimler chairman Dieter Zetsche in Abu Dhabi three weeks ago.
“I understand he was due to meet Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo with a view to him being released — and that it will be approved because it is in the interests of F1,” Jordan is quoted as saying by the BBC.

I agree with you pat.. That wil more than likely be the case… And yes, leave schumi to live his life… Normal life with ferrari. He is after all the face of the ferrari team!
my wild guess here is Nico Rosberg will be traded for Lewis Hamiton, with Mclaren letting go of hamilton it will mean cost saving for them by getting Rosberg…The question now is the other driver…Another wild guess of mine will be Raikkonen, he will be given a 2 year contract in time for a bid for vettel in 2011….It will be Hamilton and Raikkonen for Mercedes GP for 2010…
the big scenario here is that Mercedes is aware of button signing with Mclaren with an inside agreement of teams that Lewis will be transferred to Mercedes GP…Ron dennis is stepping in Mclaren again (remember lewis and dad are at odds with ron dennis) – that will be the exit clause for them THE TRADE OF THE SEASON ‘ Hamilton and Rosberg ‘ = no wonder why rosberg is not confirmed yet! though its an open secret to all that he is headed to Mercedes GP! nope, he is to be traded to McLaren’s star! – that is why he was surprised that Button was signed by Mclaren for ‘THEY WILL BE TEAM-MATES!!! (rosberg knowing it)
as for Raikkonen, they are trying to hide the fact that Mercedes is hiring him for the reason that Kimi’s demand for rallying exploits, he is in the hunt for a rally team and confirming his contract in F1 will sour teams in Rallying to him …His contact for rallying will have an F1 clause, that he intends to do it at same time. – this will truly make the Iceman Happy!!! and be more motivated
The Mercedes GP’s goal is to get best driver’s from top teams to get accurate infos they needed to help ross brawn and their technical Department immediately. Top teams meaning Ferrari and Mclaren!!!!
This made, Mercedes GP will be a TOP TEAM next season!!!!
