Red Bull announce partnership with LG
23 July, 2010
Jul.23 (Red Bull Racing) LG Electronics was unveiled as Red Bull Racing’s latest team and technology partner.
Christian Horner was joined by Dermot Boden, Chief Marketing Officer for LG Electronics, in the Energy Station to announce the deal.
LG is already heavily involved with Formula One, but this new, multi-season tie-in with Red Bull Racing allows the global leader in consumer electronics to reach an even broader market.
LG will supply Red Bull Racing with its latest products at the track and Milton Keynes headquarters and its logo will appear on the RB6 as well as the team kit.
Christian said: “LG Electronics is an extremely innovative company which aligns well with the creative innovation demonstrated within Red Bull Racing. This partnership shows Red Bull’s appeal to like-minded partners and signifies the progress the team has made in the short space of time to attract premium brands like LG.”
Mr Boden said: “It is thrilling to see two of the world’s leading innovation brands – LG Electronics and Red Bull Racing – come together as Formula One partners. ‘Life’s Good’ is an expression both LG and Red Bull Racing bring to life every day, by using technology to deliver emotional and exciting experiences to the millions of people who watch Formula One worldwide.”
And in the Q&A session afterwards, Mr Boden – a resident of Korea – was confident the grand prix would take pace there at the end of October. ”We will have a race in Korea,” he said. “The Koreans are very focused on delivering and not just delivering a race, but an outstanding race.”
