McLaren MP4/26 new nose unveiled on day one in Barcelona
Mar.9 (GMM) McLaren has confirmed that the radical swollen nose fitted to the MP4-26 in Barcelona on Tuesday will not be raced this season.
“The equipment was for testing purposes only,” said the British team.
Jenson Button smiled as he told Auto Motor und Sport: “Unfortunately it’s not a new trick that’s going to make us faster.”

Personally i don’t car how ugly the car is, it just has to be functional. I just hope McLaren can win this year
Thank god. Since 2009 f1 cars have been getting uglier with every passing season that bubble nose would’ve been the last straw. I accept f1′s not a beauty pageant for cars but at least the cars should be some what visually appeasing as f1 is reaching out to newer markets and expanding its fan base. We hard core f1 fans wont mind a lot about its looks but if the previous season’s car was better looking than the next one isnt that a step in the wrong direction????
