Schumacher and Vettel to team up again

Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher took a fourth consecutive victory for Team Germany in the RoC Nations' Cup in Dusseldorf last year
Apr.25 (PVM) Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel will team up again to contest the 2011 Race of Champions in Frankfurt later this year.
The annual end-of-season competition brings together the world’s greatest drivers from all motor sport’s disciplines – including Formula 1, world rally, touring cars, Le Mans and NASCAR – and sets them free to battle head-to-head in identical machinery. Drivers pair up for the ROC Nations Cup, this year scheduled for Saturday 3 December, before the individual Race Of Champions takes place on Sunday 4 December.
Seven-time F1 world champion Schumacher said, “It’s important to us to be in our home country so we’re really looking forward to throwing some beautiful cars around the Frankfurt circuit in December. Last year it was a great atmosphere. You’re so close to the fans that you can hear them even though the engines are noisy. And I’m sure it will be even better in Frankfurt. We have a strong line-up in the ROC Nations Cup but no doubt the other nations will have plenty of motivation to finally beat us.”
ROC 2011 will take place on a specially constructed tarmac track with two parallel lanes winding their way round Frankfurt’s Commerzbank-Arena. Originally known as Waldstadion, it was one of the host venues for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

I totally agree. F1 cars without big wings with alot more mechanical grip would make the racing about the drivers again. All this downforce has made winning about the car and not the driver. I remember the 80′s when Piquet went a lap down because of a problem and drove through the entire field to win the race. That simply can’t happen with today’s cars.
Lovely idea but for a million or several million reasons it will not happen. C’est la vie.
Better to get rid of all aerodynamic aids and lets see who can drive a car with just mechanical grip. It would be like watching real racing such as the Cobra’s in the Masters Historic Racing series. Bring it on!
Vettel and Schumi’s dominance at the ROC shows that in equal equipment, they are two of the best in the world. I would LOVE to see Schumi get a 1 year deal at RBR with Vettel. Schumi has never driven a Newey penned car. It would be very cool to see possibly the best driver ever with the best designer finally team up. Talk about a super team……that would be sweet.
