Perez feels 100% fit to race in Valencia
24 June, 2011
Jun.24 (GMM) Sauber managing director Monisha Kaltenborn confirmed on Friday that there is no doubt Sergio Perez will race this weekend in the European Grand Prix at Valencia.
The Mexican rookie sat out both races in Monaco and Canada with concussion, but was faster than his teammate Kamui Kobayashi in the two practice sessions on Friday on the streets of the Spanish port city Valencia.
“Yes, he is completely well,” Kaltenborn said late on Friday.
Perez confirmed: “Everything went okay, I feel well and I have done a lot of work over the last weeks to get there.”
Less impressive is the performance of the Sauber C30, with the 21-year-old admitting that the car is off the pace this weekend.
