Dec.11 (PVM) Kimi Raikkonen, who last week announced a Formula 1 comeback deal with Lotus Renault, injured his wrist after falling during a celebrity snow-mobile competition featuring several F1 drivers at Saalbach-Hinterglemm, in Austria.

Renault confirmed the accident on Twitter, saying: “We just spoke to Kimi. There’s nothing to worry about, he only has a sore wrist. He might have it checked again on Monday, but that’s all.”

Ironically Raikkonen returns to Formula 1 with the team which Robert Kubica raced for prior to gravely injuring himself in an off season low key rally event in Italy earlier this year.

Raikkonen, nursing a sore wrist, withdrew from the remainder of the weekend’s proceedings.

Quite surprised after the R.Kubica experience Renault would allow Kimi anywhere near something like this in the first place.
