Now Sutil’s angry father has go at Hamilton

Feb.3 (GMM) Adrian Sutil’s father has echoed sentiments of the former Force India driver in slamming Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton, who was German Sutil’s former F3 teammate and his closest friend in the F1 paddock, declined to appear as a witness in the trial this week about the assault on Lotus team executive Eric Lux.

Sutil, 29, was convicted of grievous bodily harm and fined $260,000, and is without a race seat for the 2012 season.

“The initial shock has now passed but the whole thing is terribly uncomfortable for him,” Jorge Sutil, referring to his beleaguered son, told the Munchner Merkur newspaper.

“He’s never had to face anything like this and I never thought he’d be in such a situation,” added Sutil’s father.

As for Hamilton’s role in the affair, having sat alongside Sutil in the Shanghai nightclub at the time of the alleged assault, Jorge Sutil is blunt.

“It’s really pathetic,” he said. “Lewis Hamilton moved to Monaco and didn’t tell Adrian his new phone number. But he often called him if he had personal problems.”

“His father sent my son a message that he hopes everything goes well with the hearing. And Lewis Hamilton, the cause of the discussion, didn’t do anything. I think my son chose the wrong friend,” Sutil’s father added.

“In a situation where Adrian needed support, he could tell his team that he had another engagement. Or he could have called to say that he doesn’t want to come (to Munich). That would have been acceptable.

“But he has not even done it in person. For a great champion, that’s a pretty weak performance. I would be ashamed,” added Jorge Sutil.

And the final straw of the affair, said Sutil’s father, is the damage to his son’s career.

“It’s not just his reputation, it’s also about his career,” agreed Sutil Snr.

“He is one of the top ten formula one drivers and yet now he is dealing with how to come out from this affair somehow. At the moment, he’s not talking very much about formula one. But that was always his dream. Now he needs to get away and then go about making the next steps.”

Most of us are still waiting for the real story about what really caused this entire mess, Lux hasn’t given a statement at all about why Adrian attacked him. The only real information we know is Lux got a bottle in the neck causing 24 stiches and Hamilton’s body guards got Lewis out of thier asap. I know I have given my thoughts on this a few days ago, but what we really need is the truth and no one is talking (Lux silent, Hamilton silent, Hamilton’s body gaurds silent, and the court system only issuing fines and not any detail of the case)

Did any of you Hamilton bashers think that maybe he avoided court because his view would have sunk Adrian even further? He could have been doing him a favour. Don’t assume Lewis would lie to cover for Adrians stupidity either and the truth hurts sometime

    To the “Sutil Supporter(s)” – -

If any of you could kindly articulate why it’s so hard to place the blame on the accused instead of the vitriol directed at an innocent bystander would be helpful to the rest of us.

It’s all about personal accountability. No?

Tsquare I think has it about right. I’m pretty sure higher up’s at McLaren had something to do with Hamiltion’s silence . . I’m surprised Sutil(s) can’t see that. Not sure what saving grace he thought he was gonna get anyway.

“For a great champion, that’s a pretty weak performance. I would be ashamed,” added Jorge Sutil.

@ Mr Sutil – You ought to be ashamed at your sons’ behavior – Pretty weak to go after an unarmed man with broken glass. Not hard to see why Adrian has issues after reading the article.

why go around avoiding sutil? changing numbers and shifting where he stays are stupid and cowardly moves to me.

if he dont want to help, a straight in the face ” sorry i cant help you” will clear alot of things up.

Matttt, you loser. Sutil glassed the Lotus exec and you are blaming Lewis for not testifying in court. as Tsquare said, LH has lawyers to tell him not what to do. that is life in his high profile job with Millions$$ in sponsorship money etc. focus your time more on the new step down nose cones and opening race in melbourne, of which i will be there. hope you are not.

    @man and @matttt????
i didn’t know you envied Lewis ( and actually hate him) so immensely. however, we cannot take your opinion over Alonso’s. did you read when he said Lewis is way up there. if you were Alonso or Vettel, who would you prefer to have as your teammate of JB and LH? I dare you to pick LH! btw 2011 quali 13:9 for LH.

jenson is No. 1 of Mclaren. Lewis, es un mierda como persona y un competidor mediocre, aún siendo muy rápido a veces.

Sutil Glassed some one in the neck and thinks his mate can help him. It’s strange he just got off with a fine and no drive. I’m not suprised Lewis didn’t help him. Sutil made his bed as soon as he picked the Glass up. Now his has to sleep in it ha ha. If it was some scrote that had done the same thing you would all be saying he deserves all he gets.
As for all you dreamers saying how bad Lewis is, get a grip of your selves he is awesome. As long as he puts all his problems behind him and stops listening to all the losers beasting him. He will smash this season. DON’T LOOSE THE FAITH HAMILTON your a beast beind the wheel.

    @Matttttttt

I think I lost 5 IQ points just reading that drivel you posted. Lewis is worst than paid drivers? He is bad for F1? He is the worst F1 champion on the grid. Are you kidding me,.. does your mommy know you’re using her computer to post on F1 sites?

Lewis doesn’t occasionally get mad and throw “F-bombs” at the media (Button), He didn’t try to squeeze his former team mate into the pit lane wall (Schumacher), He didn’t bail on his team to go have an ice cream during a race (Kimi) and he didn’t try to black mail his boss with ill gotten information in order to get his way (Alonso).

LH is one of the biggest draws in F1, so much so that when he went to visit Horner for tea, Red Bulls public relations dept was amazed at the media frenzy. Ill give you this, Lewis does need to grow a pair….and not worry about what people say. Right now he is the greatest under achiever on the grid, the young man has got the raw talent to become one of the best ever, but only if he gets himself back to mind set of his rookie year.

Now Matttttttt, the World is not flat, the Earth is not the center of the Universe and call you Village…. their looking for you.

The coward here is Sutil he glassed a old man in the side of the neck requiring 24 stitches! hese lucky he wasnt on a murder charge. you cant blame Hamilton for not wanting to be involved who knows his testimony of what he saw could maybe have made it worse for Sutil.

  11. stewy33 4 February, 2012 at 8:42 am

I still want to know why Lux refused to settle this out side of court. It seems to me he wanted to end Sutil’s F1 career. I want Lux to be banned like Fabio Briatore. As for Lewis, the world has special ways of catching up with you, karma is a…

    @ Tsquare

You nailed it, Mate. Spot on analysis.

I don’t believe ANYTHING that comes from Camp Sutil at this point. Simply put, Don’t do the crime if you cant do the time.

Adrian, Stand up and take it like a man. End of.

hamilton is a wanker no doubt about it, but sutil caused his own mess! and last season di resta showed what a average driver sutil is anyway, the only person he has to blame for having no drive is himself.

  15. bikermike 4 February, 2012 at 4:29 am

Hey people! Get real!! Hamilton has a career to look after.

Sutil was the architect of his own demise. His career was over the moment he glassed someone in a nightclub.

Sutil’s father would do better to ask a few questions of his son, not criticise a witness to his son’s unacceptable behaviour.

See Ya Sutil… don’t let the screen door hit you on the way out

  16. Matttttttt 4 February, 2012 at 3:59 am

Hamilton really is a coward. Worst Formula 1 champion on the grid. @Bill pretty sure Button, Alonso, Vettel don’t walk around with their heads up their backsides like Hamilton who thinks he is ‘it’ because he’s an egostistical tool. @Tsquare if you take time to read the article it says Hamilton asked Sutil for help with his issues but it wasn’t made public. I can’t wait for the day when someone shunts Hamilton off big time or he packs his bag and leaves. He’s even worse than having pay drivers in the sport and needs to grow a pair and get with it. He moaned that he didn’t have friends around and he can’t understand it for some reason. He’s bad for the sport and in my opinion has lost all credibility. Heres to a bad season for him this year.

You can bet your house that Mclaren has very high priced lawyers telling their high profile employee (Lewis), what he can or can’t do and what he can or can’t say or who he can or can’t say it to. The result is that Lewis has to cover his own butt or maybe join his former friend on the unemployment line. I didnt hear Sutil jumping to defend Lewis when he was getting the crap kicked out of him in the media and by other drivers and teams. Yet now he wants Lewis to what? Lie and say Sutil didnt try to kill somebody. (maybe he did). I don’t think Lewis could’ve have helped Sutil at all, I mean really? A bar full of people and nobody else saw anything to help the guy? I would not expect my friend to fall on the sword for me when I was the stupid one.

  19. mark 3 February, 2012 at 11:00 pm

His son glasses someone. Having been a victim of so the same thing i think Sutils dad should concentrate on why his son did it and apologise to the victim before calling Lewis pathetic.

  20. fawxx 3 February, 2012 at 10:14 pm

agree that sutil did chose the wrong friend. a cowardly boy.
