Grand Prix International 11 July 2012 Edition
11 July, 2012
Jul.11 (Grand Prix International) The British Grand Prix weekend was a big one for Mark Webber, made even bigger a few day afterwards as Red Bull confirmed him for another year in the team, boosting his confidence for what may be an even more serious title charge than his 2010 campaign.
The Silverstone weekend started off very, very, very wet. Fans bravely endured huge traffic jams and torrid ‘English summer weather’ on the first two days of action.
Then all was forgiven (and forgotten) as the sun shone brightly for the race itself, which turned out to be an intriguing affair as Webber turned the tables on Fernando Alonso with the finish line in sight.
Of course there were a bunch of interesting sideshows including; the Maldonado vs Perez bout, Massa’s continued renaissance, Kobayashi’s ten pin bowling pitstop and a Brit disappointing no show by McLaren, plus all the bits & pieces that make up a grand prix weekend. We have all of it covered…enjoy!
