Ferrari renew collaboration deal with Mahle

19 July, 2012

Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa and Fred Türk (Mahle) FerrariJul.19 (Ferrari) Scuderia Ferrari announced that it has renewed its technical collaboration agreement with the Mahle Group, for a further three year period, 2013-2015. One of the world’s leading car engine component manufacturers, Mahle has been the Official Supplier of pistons for the Formula One engines built in Maranello since 1976.

“The relationship with Mahle has grown stronger over the years and this renewal is the logical consequence of that fact, especially in light of the challenges that now await us in the short term,” commented Team Principal Stefano Domenicali. “As from 2014, we will use a completely new engine in terms of its concept and being able to count on a partner for whom technological innovation and reliability are strong points, is worth a great deal to us.”

As from next season – with a preview of it at this year’s German Grand Prix – the German company’s logo will appear on the rear wing end plates of the Scuderia’s cars.
