Grand Prix International #45
15 November, 2012
Nov.15 (Grand Prix International) Formula One heads back to America and by all accounts it is a much anticipated destination for the F1 fraternity. Rightfully so because just as their (baseball) World Series can hardly be called a world series as it ignores the rest of the planet, while our F1 World Championship is not quite that global when the USA is off the calendar.
Thus it is a big welcome to Austin and everyone who made the whole thing happen – against the odds apparently. Throw into the programme the fact that we have a riveting championship battle on our hands, a brand new track to explore, a whole new racing culture to influence and the weekend stateside looks set to be typically Texan – big and bold .
We have all these elements, and a few other juicy bits, covered with our United States GP preview issue.
In this issue:
- Vettel vs Alonso showdown: Who cares in the USA?
- Mind the language boys
- Raikkonen: There’s more to come
- Raikkonen: Relief leaving Ferrari
- Whitmarsh on Hamilton
- No looking back for Karthikeyan
- Caterham’s young gun
- Abu Dhabi Young Drivers Test daily reports
- United States Grand Prix preview
- Austin driver preview quotes
- Big Picture: USA F1 drivers
