FIA 2013 entry list has eleven seats still to be filled
2 December, 2012
Dec.2 (Apex) According to the 2013 Formula One World Championship entry list released on Friday by the FIA, there are eleven places yet to be filled for next season. However, a number of teams that have already (ostensibly) announced their 2013 drivers have put “TBA” in the Driver’s Name column.
Significantly, Lotus have only inscribed Kimi Raikkonen for next year, suggesting that they are still pondering whether Romain Grosjean will be given another chance, in the light of his incident packed season. The smart money is however, on the Frenchman indeed lining up on the grid in Australia next year.
“TBA” appears beside both Sauber entries, although the team announced their line-up of Nico Hulkenberg and Esteban Gutierrez before the Brazilian GP here>>>
Paul di Resta appears to be a certainty for the Force India squad next year, but his name is not on the list and the team also has a berth available since Hulkenberg’s departure. Several candidates are vying for what has become a highly coveted seat, ahead of the 2013 season, including the likes of Bruno Senna, Kamui Kobayashi and Adrian Sutil.
Back in October Toro Rosso confirmed that Daniel Ricciardo and rookie Jean Eric Vergne would be retained for 2013 but the latest FIA entry list does not feature their names.
Charles Pic and Caterham confirmed that the French rookie would move to the team after his first season with Marussia, with either Heikki Kovalainen or Vitaly Petrov, if not both, set to be dropped by the team.
Pic’s departure from Marussia has opened up a seat in the squad which may keep Timo Glock for another season and choose another pay driver to partner him in 2013. The team appears to be the only one running Cosworth engines in 2013.
HRT is not on the entry list and it appears that the Spanish team is in the final throes of shutting down, thus leaving Pedro de la Rosa and Narain Karthikeyan without race seats for next season.

For god sake can no one see that Kamui is the perfect fit for Lotus? Perez with only 6 pts. more goes to McLaren and Hulkenberg with only 3 more points take his seat. Grosjean, great kid, doesn’t deserve an F1 ride. Also, rememeber where Perez is coming from. Ferarri academy, with the backing of Carlos Slim (the worlds richest man), he’ll have everything Kamui didn’t. Management, trainers, coaches and handlers. Kamui was let down not by his talent, but by his management and sponsers. Give this exciting and passionate driver the chance he has earned.
Di resta need to go home he is just sucks…. I just can think having a good car and dont do a good thing with it… kamui at lotus wow I love to see that but is about a
20% chances that will happen
I want KAMUI to LOTUS Pleasseee!
PLEASE……….KAMUI IN LOTUS F1…..OR IF FORCE INDIA SWITCH TO FERRARI ENGINE KAMUI SHOULD BE THERE.
Has Robert Kubica recovered fully? If he has.. he can replace Romain Crashjean.
From the speculation that Di Resta was good enough to slot in next the Jens in the other McLaren, I’m now looking at that list wondering how on earth he deserves a seat in F1 at all? Maybe Force India have other idea’s and will replace him!
