Schumacher: There are so many other beautiful things in life
2 March, 2013
Michael Schumacher will not be on the Formula 1 grid this season, after his three year adventure with Mercedes, but the seven times world champion will definitely be making the occasional visit to the paddock during certain grand prix weekends.
Speaking exclusively to Motorsport-Magazin from a motorcycle event in Le Castellet, in southern France, he said of possible visits to the F1 paddock this season, “Of that you can be assured, but there are no firm plans as yet.”
As for another foray into the world of two wheel racing, the German was adamant, “No way! However, I would certainly like to visit the track with friends more often and put in a few laps. I’ve had no chance in recent years due to time constraints, but that’s as far as it goes.”
Asked if he would miss the daily routine of F1 life, Schuamcher said, “My approach has always been to focus 100 percent on whatever I’m doing, and everything else is secondary. I concentrate on the task in hand and so, since I will not be in a Formula 1 car next year, the question does not arise. There are so many other beautiful things in life.”

@ hawk
Last 5 races of 2012 sum up the rosberg’s potential and talent
that must be hurtin from the train that ran thru it! haha
Dream on.. and please Schumi Fan might serve you better than Lauda Fan. if you say that Schumi would have creamed them, what about Rosberg?
The new Merc looks FAST. Schumacher needed another year to succeed. Anyone out there doubt that he would have topped the time sheets at the tests in Barcelona this week? He would have creamed them!
@Butterfly
You’re a girl?! Oh well that explains everything. You can’t possibly be expected to think the same way as guys do lol. Carry on ma’am. But just so you know you’re out of your league missy. And just because you have got the hots for Alonso doesn’t give you the right to bash the greatest racing driver ever! You can love Alonso as much as you want, but give respect where respect is due. Oh and by the way, I have some bad news, looks like Alonso is taken.
butty:
someone is pissed off because someone won 5 WDC with Ferrari and her special no-one cant do shit with the very same team since he arrived after Kimi ;D haha
Ah, you’re boring me.
And I’m a girl, btw.
Hey. . Um .. . butt fly. . . . I kinda told you once man – You’re gonna have to do better than that 3rd grade level, Feeble attempt at a comeback. My ten year old nephew can do better than that! Besides, I think I’ve proven to you (more than once) your not in my league.
FYI. My nationality and sexual orientation is not germane in this forum.
Tamburello_1994:
You know, it’s not normal to think of Butt when you read Butterfly…
Are you sure you’re not a homo?
Tamburello_1994:
You must be Italian.
In every forum I go to, there’s always someone like our boy butt fly – stinking up the joint . . . I’m beginning to think it’s the same person. ffs.
Yawn…
@Butterfly
You are one of the biggest idiot ever! Congratulations. Stupid blinded Alonso fanboy…pffffff LOL!
Pathetic little loser!
Spare me.
@ Butterfly – only an ignorant person and a true hater could call somebody like Michael Schumacher a loser.
If this guy is a loser, then think about what you’ve accomplished in life compared to him. Honestly.
Be good!
As for Michael, he will be missed on the F1 grid for sure. F1 is not the same without him.
Came back for revenge and had his behind handed to him by pretty much everybody on the field.
Now, all of a sudden, there are so many other beautiful things in life.
Loser.
Michael you won’t be missing F1 but we will be missing you in F1. Stay blessed
